No matter what it was everyone here would have hated it.

I Survived Drunkytown with OleVet and all I got was this rash!
With a record of 109-23 (.826) and six Big 12 championships in 10 seasons, Stoops has reason to be arrogant. But he is not. He is somewhere between humble and unimpressed.

#1 according to whom? Not a slam, just honestly curious.
I thought Outlaws would be better, but at least we have a team.
Is a lightning bolt going to be the logo? I just hope they don't scew up the colors!! Hopefully, we black/gold.
Thunder screams AF2. I could see the Yard Dawgs playing the Thunder. Barons, Outlaws, and Thunderbirds all much better options
AMERICA!

Just an FYI, there's nothing new in TESS (the US Trademark Office's searchable database) searching on either "Oklahoma City" or "The Professional Basketball Club". In an interesting twist, however, the pair of "Oklahoma City Supersonics" listings that appeared on the system last week (filed July 8) have now been abandoned as of July 15.

Blue & silver? Are they trying to piggy-back off of another team's success with that combo?
For all the doubt surrounding this franchise (small fanbase, etc.) I would think they would try to pick a really great name in order to sell lots of apparel and kind of hedge their bet if they tank on the floor and ticket sales fall off. I really don't think anybody outside of central Oklahoma/Tulsa will buy a single thing with OKC Thunder on it. Had they gone with Outlaws, Copperheads, or anything of that nature I think they could have had a better shot at returning a profit when things get tough. Think of the KC Chiefs or the Dallas Cowboys, if they had been named the KC Corn or the Dallas Sunshine would anybody outside of KC or Dallas really adopt them as their team?

In 16 days, the team got 16,000+ individual season ticket requests. Most of these were from people who want two and more tickets. It appears ticket demand won't be a problem, at least for the time being.
During season one, they will almost assuredly be a top five team in attendance, limited only by the size of the building as it compares to, for instance, the Palace at Auburn Hills.
Well, crap.

I just checked the latest ratings and stand corrected, thanks.
(and yes, ratings are as a percentage of all listeners)
I'm still laughing though.
The Sports Animal can't hold a candle to The Ticket.
Just imagine there's a really obnoxious graphical sig here
perhaps they could use a horse for the logo... maybe just a thought. it doesnt have to be a lightning bolt
