"You have to be aware that there's a line where legitimate concerns begin to collapse into paranoid fantasy." - David Frum, Conservative author and speechwriter for President George W. Bush
That does suck.
"And the truth is that no circumstance can ever defeat us unless we let it... Resilience in the face of failure is a manifestation of the mind..." -Wayne Coyne
He really was good. Always seemed tough but fair, which is unusual these days.
Bummer.
But that's the way to go.
Just saw this report on t.v.

"The choices we discern as having been made in the Constitutional Convention impose burdens on governmental proceses that often seem clumsy, inefficient, even unworkable, but those hard choices were consciously made by men who had lived under a form of government that permitted arbitrary governmental acts to go unchecked." Well, I honestly haven't even begun to give it a second's thought as to who Russert's replacement might be.
Whoever it is cannot possibly fill his shoes, though.
Just imagine there's a really obnoxious graphical sig here
DAMN
"The true genius shudders at incompleteness and usually prefers silence to saying something which is not everything it should Be."
-Edgar Allan Poe
Ugh this really sucks. He was one of the last journalists on tv that I had a ton of respect for. I would try to watch Meet the Press as often as I could, and loved his book Big Russ and Me
RIP Tim and prayers for his family
