    I'm not a purist, just can't justify spending the money on one since I haven't played in damn near a year. And I don't have a 2 iron either.

    I'm horrible, and I need all the help I can get. But, I don't really view a hybrid as a "crutch" club. Although, it's probably my best club besides my pitching wedge. I've got a TaylorMade Rescue Mid with the movable weights.

    After I hurt my back last year I ditched the 2 and 3 iron and went with hybrids. I really like the Cobra Bafflers... long and straight but I do have a tendency to hook the crap outta them every now and then.
