I like tomato products, but cannot eat the tomato itself. I've always thought a fresh, plump, dark red garden tomato looked delicious and I wish I liked them, but they're nasty.
i used to feel the same way...then I went on vacation and the tomatoes there just looked too good, I had to try one...the smaller types of tomatoes are not as nasty as the big ones. I stick to Roma, grape and cherry tomatoes for eating raw.

I ate the first celebrity tomato from my garden today as well! Severl more are near ready! I have 30 plants, 3 of which are cherry. The cherry have been delivering for about three weeks!
I also have Japeloneos and bell peppers. Corn, green beans, and of course okra! The tomatos were the last to give ripe fruit.
Corn and okra haven't made yet, and there ain't no such thing as a japeloneo.
