In the DOK this morning.
An interview talking about his jazz career and the fact that he's been diagnosed with bone cancer.
Good to hear about him but sad to hear about his illness. Thoughts and prayers for his recovery.

Terrible news, bone cancer is just an awful disease that's very painful.
Best of luck to him!

-Edgar Allan Poe
I thought his cancer was over.

Horrible, this is.
He is a great Okie.
SoonerinabileneOh sweet jesus. Its like watching the special olympics in high definition on here now.
He's a good strong.
Best of luck in warding off this terrible disease, Wayman.
Just imagine there's a really obnoxious graphical sig here
That breaks my heart man. He made me fall in love with OU basketball. I think I was in 5th grade. Prayers for Wayman.
Here lies Lester Moor
4 slugs from a .44
No Lester no more
That's no moon...
It breaks my heart too. But, Wayman will continue to be an inspiration and and I'm sure he'll battle through this. God bless him!
Really sad news to hear. Cancer is a terrible disease. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family.
Wow!!!! Wayman and Bosworth are the 2 Sooners that embodied OU when I was growing up. I'll be sending up a few prayers for old 23!!! I can still remember the soft left handed turn around J from the low box.
Kinda hits close, we were both freshmen the same year and his brother was in one of my classes.
Wayman holds a special place in my heart. My Grandma was a HUGE fan of Oklahoma Basketball, especially Wayman's. When she died she left a bunch of newspaper clippings about him, along with his autograph, in a safe with all of her important papers.
The medical name is Multiple Myeloma. It took my father and a close friend, Louis Rukeyser. Waymon has a real battle on his hands. Very unpleasant. Prayers are needed from all of us.
Someone sticky this, plzkthx.

I didn't see the article. Can someone link it. Thanks!
He's back doing what he loves, but he's still going through treatments. Right now, it's a story with a happy ending but I think he still could use our thoughts and prayers. As RTS posted, this disease can be a tough battle.
