It's a freaking miracle how some people make it through life on such little common sense.

I work with a guy that is about to go in for shoulder surgery. He's had shoulder problems for years and needs them both fixed. I get that. So he's talking about it today and says "I think I'll check with the Dr. and see if I can't just get them both done at the same time, that way I'm only out 6 weeks".

really? Spend a lot of time thinking that through? I wonder how people like this can even drive, much less be a functional human being.

Another guy I work with just wanted to encourage him to do it. "Yeah, tell that Dr. that you DEMAND he do them both at the same time".

If it's for adhesive capsullitis, they could (but probably shouldn't) do them both at the same time. There isn't any incision and all they do is rip open all of the adhesions, inject some cortisone into the joint, ice down the shoulder and give you some pain pills.
I missed two days of work.

for the first time in years, my ice scrapper is in the trunk and not the back seat of my car
