Shut up white boy!
Sounds like they're having a merry Christmas down there!
What's up with that, anyway?

You know, I lived for several years in Charleston, SC. Its got twice the charm and history of NOLA, and none of this crap. It's really amazing any person with options would remain in that rathole when there is a city like Charleston beckoning -- if that whole moonlight and magnolias dealio is important to a person.
"Discourage litigation. Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever they can. Point out to them how the nominal winner is often a real loser; in fees, expenses and waste of time." -- Abraham Lincoln, (1809-1865) Lawyer and President who saved the United States.
"Without opportunities on the part of the poor to obtain expert legal advice, it is idle to talk of equality before the law"-- Justice Chas. Evans Hughes
But I don't want to go to Charleston.
You tell me it's the institution. Well, you know, you'd better free your mind instead.

Yeah well, a few hundred complete ****ing dumb**** ignorant fools got their skivvies in a wad . . . for nothing but show. Just noise, really, that made sensational TV. They didn't get what they wanted, and nobody here was impressed, just kinda embarrassed. 99.87 % are happy because the council voted 7-0 to actually make some progress.Originally Posted by Jerk

I lived in Metarie, LA, for a few years and I used to drive by the Desire Projects everyday, Dp are the projects that the city of NO wants to tear down. What's amazing, they needed to be torn down back in 1989 when I worked there. The one thing I remembered was all the shoes that were tossed over the electrical lines. One of my employees told me that the shoes get tossed over the power lines when someone gets murdered in those projects. I kid you not, there must have been 30-40 pairs tossed over the lines.
Here I sit just a flexin, giving birth to another UT grad.
"Don't take my public housing away that you gave me in the hopes I would do something with my sorry ***!"
Perfect time to clean up New Orleans.
