If you are a fan of Military Sci Fi or Military Op action books I highly recommend books by John Ringo. He co-wrote some books with David Weber as well.

I just finished Ghost, part of the Kildar Saga. Not Sci Fi, Military Special Ops set in current affairs post 9/11. REALLY GOOD. Main Character is awesome. Not for the young reader or the faint of heart. Pretty graphic in spots. Can;t wait to read the second book in the series. I have Ian Slater and David Drake (other Military writers) and Ringo is better. Not as good with the SciFi as Weber but really good.
