This is the love thread. All you need is love...and a dry, martini dry, sense of humor.
And don't forget a touch of gdc, old age, (You know who you are) and imagination.:pQuote:

You watch their faces You'll see the traces Of the things they want to be But only we can see They come for killing They leave and still it seems The cloud that's left behind Oh, can penetrate your mind But sail on, sing a song, carry on Cause We Rock, We Rock, We Rock, We Rock We pray to someone But when it's said and done It's really all the same With just a different name So many voices All giving choices If we listen they will say Oh, we can find the way But we'll sail on, sing a song, carry on Cause We Rock, We Rock, We Rock, We Rock We Rock, We Rock, We Rock, We Rock We Rock! You know I'm a dreamer
But my heart's of gold
I had to run away high
So I wouldn't come home low
Just when things went right
It doesn't mean they were always wrong
Just take this song and you'll never feel
Left all alone
Take me to your heart
Feel me in your bones
Just one more night
And I'm comin' off this
Long & winding road
I'm on my way
Well I'm on my way
Home sweet home
Tonight tonight
I'm on my way
I'm on my way
Home sweet homeYou know that I seem
To make romantic dreams
Up in lights, fallin' off
The silver screen
My heart's like an open book
For the whole world to read
Sometimes nothing-keeps me together
At the seams
I'm on my way
Well I'm on my way
Home sweet home
Tonight tonight
I'm on my way
Just set me free
Home sweet home!
11th grade...Motley Crue...good times.
I miss Invisible Threads.
nah
Dio, baby. That tune was empowering. That was a tune that I would listen to before a football game so I could get all demonic and psyched up. The devil was all about kick *** music. I was a little to much of a guitar freak to like Motley Crue, but Live Wire always rocked.
It's a thread about nothing.Quote:

Maiden...1987 Somewhere In Time Tour...good times.
Maiden's #otBeast was sooooooo cool. I was totally creeped out, but still the tune rocked. My fav? The Trooper. YOU TAKE MY LIFE BUT I'LL TAKE YOURS TOO! YOU FIRE YOUR MUSKET AND I'LL RUN YOU THOUGH!!! Run to the Hills was awesome.
Through all of this music I was listening to the OTHER band that was in this catagory, Judas Priest. I still listen to that stuff and get all fired up. How I never put together that Rob Halford was gay... I have NO gaydar. The guy was dressed up just like a Village People! I still couldn't tell. I guess I was just gonna have to wait until he blew me before I'd figure it out. Still rocked though.
TFDD-> Missed that one.
Saw them twice last year, and once this year.
Great shows.
Anybody got their Rush Tix yet? Got mine for Houston on 6-26-04.

Dude, our high school garage band played The Trooper. Everyone did back in the day.
Red, I saw Rush on their 1986 Power Windows Tour. Everybody loved the old stuff, but when they broke into the Power Windows stuff, everything kind of chilled out. It's the only show where I had floor seats and left to get a coke in the middle of the show.
Note to Rush, play the classics.
Power Windows are considered the classics nowadays.

Gambino,
Red October has a firm grasp on what this thread is really about...walk among us.
Start from the beginning and read it all. You won't understand anything until you catch up. Very Tom Clancy.
So, so close to taking over the #4 positon.
Damn, the last Clancy book I read took me a year to finish.Quote:

Gen. Santa Ana is the grandfather of chewing gum!
http://www.uh.edu/engines/epi963.htm
Summary:
In 1869, the exiled Generalissimo was in Staten Island looking for someone to buya bunch of chicle (the sap of the sapodilla tree) for use as a rubber substitute. He met an inventor named Thomas Adams. Adams took a chance and bought a ton of chicle from S.A, but he had no luck making it into a rubber substitute. But Adams's son realized he could make it into a chewable product that might be better than the wax and other stuff that was then popular to chew. So he gave 200 balls of chicle to a druggist, who sold them at two for a penny. They were all gone before noon. The Adams gum dynsaty went on to create Adams Clove Gum, Chiclets, Blackjack, and more. Santa Ana died penniless; Adams died rich.
Why is this so wide?
