SETTING THE STAGE: OU plays its final regular season game against an ACHA Division 1 opponent tonight as it hosts Arizona in the second game of a two game weekend series…Tonight’s game is also the last of four games between the two teams this season…In a game of ebb and flow that saw the Sooners control the first and third periods, Oklahoma beat Arizona 7-3 last night before a rowdy crowd of Sooners Hockey fans…Oklahoma is now 2-1-0 in three games against Arizona this season.

OKLAHOMA NOTES: Sooners defenseman Danny Force scored the first OU hat trick of the season in last night’s contest…Twelve different Sooners players found their way into the scoring column last night…Forward Adrian Borchgrevink dished out three assists in last evening’s contest…The Sooners were 2 for 8 on the power play yesterday…Oklahoma is now 6-1-0 against Arizona all-time and 3-0-0 all-time in games played in Oklahoma City…Oklahoma should know late Wednesday, February 15th if it has qualified for the ACHA D1 National Championship tournament in Philadelphia.

ARIZONA NOTES: Arizona racked up the penalty minutes last night, accumulating 74 total minutes compared to Oklahoma’s 11…D.J. Pelletier, playing last night in his first game since suffering a broken wrist earlier in the season, was whistled for 26 penalty minutes…His brother, Mike Pelletier, got 24 penalty minutes of his own yesterday…Goaltender Luke Edwall saw a lot of vulcanized rubber last night, stopping 49 of the 56 shots the Sooners threw his way…Coach Leo Golembiewski is in his 27th season of coaching University of Arizona hockey…Arizona won the club hockey national championship in 1985.
