Discussion in 'South Oval' started by C&CDean, Jul 18, 2013.
I just had to login and post in this thread . . . carry on.
Somebody once told me "it's a family board." Dat's alls I be knowing.
Come forth from Soonerfans, come forth from Landthieves, come forth from OUI, come forth from Slicks, come forth from IW, come forth from OW, come forth from Olevet’s Posse Hideout knowing that somehow this situation can and will be changed. Let us not wallow in the valley of anger and angst.
I say to you today, my fellow Sooners, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the Sooner dream.
I have a dream that one day the Sooner Nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all Sooners are created equal and superior to sheep-humping aggies and bevo-rimming whorns."
I have a dream that one day in the passion pit of the South Oval the sons and daughters of Landthieves and the sons and daughters of Soonerfans will be able to lay down together on the blanket of brotherhood and sisterhood.
I have a dream that one day even in a thread sweltering with the heat of SoonerSmack, sweltering from the heat of neg spek jihad, will be transformed into an oasis of Sooner love and peace.
I have a dream that our young children will one day live in a Sooner Nation where they will not be judged by the content of their character but, rather, by their crimson and cream.
I have a dream today.
I have a dream that one day in the motherland of Norman, the Master of Human Relations & a minor in Tailgating from east of Purcell having his lips once dripping with the words of interposition and nullification; one day in Soonerville, little LT boys and LT girls will be able to join hands with little SF boys and the SF girl as Sooner sisters and brothers.
I have a dream today.
I have a dream that one day every Sooner board shall be exalted, every aggie and whorn board shall be made low, the incoherent will be made articulate, and the crooked will be made straight qalso, and the glory of Switzer shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.
This is our hope. This is the faith that I go home to Norman with. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a Dale Hall Tower of hope. With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our Sooner Nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood and sisterhood. With this faith we will be able to work together, to play together, to tailgate together, to drink together, to stand up for victory together, knowing that we will be One.
This will be the day when all of Switzer's children will be able to sing with a new meaning, "I’m Sooner born and Sooner bred, and when I die I’ll be Sooner dead!”
no one read all of that right?
huh-uhh....it's never coming back because you kilt it.....violated it's civil rights.
So do we start calling Badger George now?
when I see that face I scroll away....

This board is meaner than I remember.
Where is Stanley1?
I wiped a tear from my eye. It's beautiful, at least the parts that I actually read are beautiful.
Tulsa last I knew. Randomly ran into him one night at the casino up there.
