Kind of weird that you guys are already claiming it's a lock to win the RRS and Big 12 next year. Hope you guys realize that most of the offense is coming back next year. This is going to be an experienced team and they're going to be in a much better position than OU was this season. Not going to win a national title, but they're not going to be 4-7 or 5-6 either.

So what? Vince Young was the X-factor for Texas and he is so hard to scheme for.Who is going to take the reigns for Vince next year? I hope a nice pocket-passing quarterback like Chrissy to pick on.

 

Well, OU wasn't 4-7 or 5-6 either. I think all that we're saying, minus the hyperbole, is that the Sooners should be at least on even footing in Dallas and have a good shot to win the game. With Vince coming back, I didn't like our chances at all.

That I agree with. I put the Texas/OU game as straight up and could go either way next year. That's why I'm not sure where all the confidence is coming from. With all that's returning on offense next year, they just need the QB to be a game manager and not a playmaker like Vince Young was. I kind of think McCoy starts next year because he's the one that apparently has the smarts and a pretty accurate arm. But Snead is enrolling for the Spring semester and he's probably a better fit for the current offense right now.

I'm gonna go out on the limb and predict a 9-3 or 10-2-type season next year.

I'm seeing 8-4 as the absolute worst case scenario. I really would not be surprised if we beat Ohio State. They lose almost all of their defense. It will be a low scoring game, I know that much.

That really will be a toss up. True that their defense is gone BUT their offense will be a juggernaut.

 

In Austin? I kind of doubt it.

Their offense will be very, very good next season. But I don't see our defense taking much of a hit overall between this year and next year. If it were in Ohio State, I say 100% definite Ohio State victory. But I think the game could go either way in Austin. The only thing that worries me is that we'll have a QB making his 2nd career start in the game.

 

yep, I wonder when the last time was the texas was not favored at home. I doubt they will be in this game.
