The flaw in that philosophy is your assumption that we can keep Rice from tacking on 3-4 more runs per inning.

 

That's what I was thinking. The way things have been going, there's no way they don't score in the bottom of the inning. :O

 

i would call it more an empirical observation rather than a philsophy, per se.
