I like getting O-linemen from the JUCO ranks.

Football at the D1 level is hard work, all the time. If you're going to be at a program like OU, and see playing time, you're going to have to put in the work. O-linemen coming out of high school are hard to evaluate. A lot (and I mean a LOT) of those guys get by on talent or size alone in high school, so they get a real shock to the system when they get to college. Look no further than last year and John Michael McGee.

Guys that have to take the JUCO route are at the very least more accustom to working harder than high school, plus they've seen a little better talent along the d-line. By the time they get to a program like OU, they know there is no "second chance", and their dream of playing big time football is within reach. Those guys seem to "get it", and pay off in the long run.
