I'm going to get disagreed with on probably all of these, but I can listen to each at least two times in a row, straight through without ever skipping a song or mentally tuning out. All classics to me.
Yes. I nominate The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place by Explosions in the Sky. Sure, there are no words on the 5-track, 45-minute album, but the music is so beautiful it doesn't need words.
"Don't pass me by" is pretty good. Considering that and Octopus Garden are the only songs he actually wrote while with the Beatles, he's batting .500. "It don't come easy" is a pretty decent solo work too. He also helped co-write "Badge" by Cream. I'd agree with Octavian on the last 3 he posted.
