Lost a commitment today... young Greg Bryant. http://espn.go.com/college-football...ked-rb-greg-bryant-decommits-oklahoma-sooners Oh well... move on, folks. Nothing to see here.
Actually it was yesterday...and there is a post in the recruiting forum about it. Try following the proper forums for things.
Ummm...lessee...healthy Whaley, Finch, Clay, Ford and, uh, potent passing attack equals hard work and maybe some pine time. Okay, gottagoseeyabye...
What about the juco RB we got?? I remember hearing how he was the real deal but have heard nothing in a while... Any update?
Yeah, this guy was no scared of competition at all. The guy wanted to stay closer to home...and ever since he committed he always left this door open... However, IMHO, the guy used OU to gain more and more big time schools. When he committed to OU, no other Big time program had offered him. Immediately following his commitment, Auburn and South Carolina offered. I wonder if there is something wrong with this kid since Florida State, nor Miami, offered him. Florida didn't either, but they landed the best RB in Forida (and nation) that was a legacy.
Damien Williams Well, he is in Norman now...gearing up for Fall camp. He will definitely be in the mix as long as he can learn the playbook.
That's because there is nothing to comment on. Finch sprained an ankle the other day. Williams just now arriving on campus. Nothing really going on just yet
He needs to be where he wants to be as long as they want him there. If he doesn't want to be at OU, then so be it. Best wishes to the kid. We were the greatest all-time program before Bryant committed, we'll keep on being so without him, and without anyone else who chooses not to be a Sooner. Next.
I see two ways this plays out: He becomes a great player = Auburn cheated to get him. He never does anything = Well, it's not like we actually wanted him.
#3, Greg Bryant sees the light, finds God, re-commits to OU, lifts weights, studies hard, gets good grdes, becomes an OU legend.
Those of us that followed recruiting weren't too surprised to see him decommit. Almost as soon as he committed, interest peaked, and he started setting up visits. That was the red flag. The only way this really "hurt" OU was that it may have kept us from pursuing some other backs. However, I think we still ended up with the better of the two anyway.
