Ok... you want football talk? Here's football talk!

My dad is a Wisconsin alum and a Wisconsin fan (although he seems to like to watch a winning team now that we all live down here, lol) but unfortunately, has to work the night shift at the hospital because patient care never takes a holiday, not even for a Badger bowl. Bummer. He has said that he requested Jan. 8 off but that doesn't take away from the fact that he had to work Christmas, as well as the Big 12 Championship game week, as well as Bedlam, as well as Texas Tech week... and Texas week... arrrrgh. The only weeks he's been able to watch football are the weeks when the games were predecided anyway... not that any game is not predetermined as "OU WIN," but, you know, the ones you write down in the recordbooks in pen instead of pencil... UNeraseable ink, mind you.

So anyways, gonna have a few relatives and ONE parent over for bowls this afternoon. Hope you all cheer hard for the Badgers. I mean, just think back to the days... only a few years ago.... when all they ever talked about was Florida teams in the BCS. Florida blah blah, Florida State blah blah, Miami so awesome blah blah BCS blah blah. It was downright annoying. The more bowl losses, the further Bobby Bowden goes toward retirement and then, no worries about FSU at all. It also might mean the end of those annoying Allstate commercials that mention him.

leroy should consider asking Kevorkian to come out retirement (is he still alive?) and undergo his euthanasia treatment for misery. We'd all feel much better.
