I take his apology with the same grain of salt as his previous lack of apology - all instructions from his lawyers. That's not a criticism; it's just how our society is structured given the situation he created. I do speculate that this is part of clearing the table for his jump to the NFL. As far as him paying for damages, my bet is on a quiet out-of-court settlement.
Good on him for apologizing now that his attorney's have advised him that he can. ... This is definitely in preparation of declaring for the NFL. I think he'd be crazy to come back after the year he has had. He is probably a 1st round talent however I bet he is a mid-round pick because of the off the field stuff. I also anticipate the girl he hit attorneys release the video after he declares.
He shouldn't declare. All of them, can and should greatly increase their stock, staying another year. They'd be a strong favorite to win it all, as well.
