Why did I know that frigg'n Notre Dame would finish in the top 10 even though the nearest other 9 win team is Auburn at #14! My gawd can't this crap be left alone for a frigg'n moment without the politicians working yet another handjob into the calculations? Pathetic.
Saw it with my own eyes, but I would expect that the rankings would still have them ranked higher, just due to their record. Certainly 22 isn't where I would like us to be, and we can say we DID beat someone.
Texas beat two stout teams (#2 & #4) and two more top 25 teams this year. How does that compare to OU's 2000 championship year?
what a joke. No way should you rank Louisville, Tech, or Clemson ahead of OU based on regular season and bowl performances.
OU beat #5, #8, #9 (twice) and #12 http://www.soonerstats.com/fb/polls/ap/seasons.cfm?SeasonID=2000 The rankings when we beat them were: #11, #2, #1, #8, #3 http://www.soonerstats.com/fb/polls/ap/teams.cfm?SeasonID=2000&TeamID=103
