Not a lot has changed since the last update (Cinci may be down to their top 2), but it's worth noting that Garrick McGee has been promoted to offensive coordinator at Arkansas.

 

I wonder who will pick up Mangino. Wait, that would be impossible, I mean I wonder who will give him a job. Will he have to work as an OC or will someone be willing to give him a HC position?

Heh...that'll be interesting to see. He has a national title as an OC...but he also had a future-OC at QB back then.

 

yeh...says UNLV is like taking over the reigns of a high school after winning the college football NC....lol

The guy has skins, wait that was unfair too. The guy has a proven track record. The issue will be can a school sell recruits to play for a guy that was rumored to be busting up his kids?

 

If Bobby Knight could keep getting hired, so will Mangino. His biggest problem right now is there aren't a lot of head coaching vacancies at D-1 level. This year was pretty low in terms of turnover, compared to many years. Mark may have to drop back to be a coordinator for a while...but he'll get another chance if he gets his act together.

 

Updated: Cincinnati and ULM made their choices. Now there's an opening at Central Michigan.
