It must of sucked to be in the conference with OU in the 50s and 70/80s I count 14 straight conf championships under Coach Wilkinson I count 9 straight under Coach Switzer...HAHAHAHa. Its to bad I attended Bama and know their history as well, but I love to argue with this guy. Maryland was Number #1 that year - but the polls were over before the Orange bowl game.....It was a number 2 OU vs Number 1 Maryland - but it got lost in the history books and doesn't get much attention as a Number 1 Vs Number 2 type game....
