Just wanted to give the kid his own thread. He has really evolved into a nice TE for us. His blocking keeps improving and he has the best hands on the team outside of Sterling. It has been a frustrating season for several reasons, but Blake has been a nice story. The kid has been the consummate team player for four years, going from the backup QB used exclusively for the Belldozer for two years, to the starting QB/backup QB last year, to a sometimes used/frequently used TE this year. The kid bleeds crimson and cream.
Sterling Shepard is the epitome of being a "Sooner", but Blake Bell is right there with him. An unbelievable team-player!
I find it really surprising he wasn't picked as a team captain by the other guys. As a senior, and doing anything that his team needs of him, he sure deserved it.
