2014 weekly game thread~

Can't swear to it, but I was at the game and Hermalyn was at bat. Think the count was either 1-2 or 2-2. Herm struck out after the run scored.

 

Today's game has been moved up to 11AM due to weather.

 

We knock off Belmont 6-5 in 11in.

Final game tomorrow.

 

wow, last 3 games have gone into extra inning....against AKPB and Belmont....hmmm...might be a tough year in the big 12. ksu beat someone 23-1 the other day.

 

Took care of business today. 10-1 win over Belmont.

ksu series coming up...that'll be big. Weird we play a single game against tcu...then finish later..?

 

Nope. Tuesday's TCU game doesn't count as conference game, just like midweek games with OSU. Only the three game weekend series count on conference standings. That will be in Ft Worth 5/9-5/11.

Big win over K-State, 11-4. 8 run 5th, all after two outs, including a grand slam.

 

I was at the Friday game vs KSU. Great way to start conference play.

BTW: Looking at box score, there were no Sooner batters that struck out. How many times does a winning team does not have any strike outs???

Mid 7: ORU 3, OU 0. Time to stretch in Tulsa. Sooners get two hits, but a 1-6-3 GDP slows the threat. 5 hits, 8 LOB, 2 DP

 

End 8: ORU 3, OU 0. Krittenbrink keeps the Golden Eagles off the board and the Sooners send 6-7-8 to the plate in their last chance.

 

Final: ORU 3, OU 0. Three hard fly balls later and the game is over. Sooners hit the road this weekend in Big 12 play to face Kansas.

 

Wow! Shutout twice in a row. Bit of a comedown after those two routs of KSU.
