Florida, coming off a 9-4 season, opens the 2017 slate against Michigan on Sept. 2 in Arlington, Texas. One team travels west, the other southwest, to play a game in a state whose football fans overwhelmingly would prefer to see both schools lose. So much for home field advantage. Yes, I understand the concept of a neutral site game but this is a pure money grab that in no way benefits either school or team. I hope OU never accepts another of these games (i.e. Arlington stadium) given that an entire season was derailed because of one.
