Lord knows we need something else to talk about. La Tech has a few real good players, but not enough. First game and all, shakin' off the rust, I say... Sooners 41 Bulldogs 10
That was my first reaction too. But Stoops tends to not embarrass teams with the goose egg unless it's a real foe (OSU 27-0, horns 12-0). If the 3rd team can shut them out in the 4th, it could happen.
I don't see the third team getting on the field. Stoops' mo for first games is to get the starters the reps that he thinks they need. That's usually well into the third Q. We have an inconsistent qb coming in off a hot bowl win and we're breaking in a lot of starters that didn't start last year at the skill positions. Reps reps reps. 51-13
Agree for offense. Stoops always want the starting QB to get 3 full quarters regardless. But he's always seemed open to defensive subs earlier if the game is out of hand. I contrast this to Saban who seems to really want shutouts. So OU - 38 LT - 10
OU- 66 LA Tech- 10 Never thought I would begin my SF posting career by arguing with everyone. Time for some football!
You may want to ease into the actual game threads then as it will expose the homers and doomers based on a single game.
It's been a few years since we really rolled in an opener (Tulsa 2011). I think this will be a similar game, but LaTech scores a TD in garbage time. SOONERS 44 LSU's third cousin 10
