After much contemplation I have decided that I will be supporting Ron Paul. Barack Obama and the remainder of the Republican hopefuls can all freeze to death in the dark for all I care. If Representative Paul doesn't get the GOP nomination and opts not to run as a 3rd party candidate, I'll simply not vote. While Paul isn't what I'd call an ideal candidate for me, I think he's the best choice by a mile. **** the establishment. **** the neo-con hawks and **** the overspending liberals.
I will not. Since I'm in OK and can't vote Libertarian this time (I voted for Bob Barr in 2008), I'll have to abstain. I only have one soul -- I'll let someone else sell theirs so their party can chalk up a win.
Filed legislation today that would overturn the NDAA: http://vizfact.com/ron-paul-introduces-legislation-to-overturn-the-ndaa/
Romney will defeat Obama by a similar margin that Obama defeated McCain in '08 and there's nothing any of us can really do to change that. With what's taken place the last 11 years, Ron Paul should be the runaway leader for the pubs and landslide Obama, but apparently our country is comprised of fantastically spoiled dumbasses.
Actually, I've heard that he's had very little trouble getting on state ballots, so even if he "suspends his campaign" (JUST SAY YOU'RE DROPPING OUT, LOSERS!), you should still be able to cast your vote for Ron Paul. ... so long as you're a registered Republican in states with closed primaries.
I like Ron Paul over any of the pubs or Obama even though I don't agree with him 100% I don't see Romney beating Obama though. Who out there that voted for Obama is going to suddenly decide to vote for Romney? Does anyone really think he'll repeal Obamacare ? What Obama voters are really that outraged by Obamacare?
The American electorate is living in a fantasy-land where they want to have their cake and eat it too and expect another to be put on their plate right after. Thus, Ron Paul can't win.
Anybody with a brain knows that Obamacare won't be repealed. No entitlement program in the history of the country has been repealed. There's really only about a dime's worth of difference between Romney and Obama. Romney will spend a dime less that Obama.
I'd vote for Ron, but I don't know what he could actually pull off if he was president. He'd be stuck between the morons in the Congress and the idiots in the Senate. I'm more concerned about my governor and the morons in the state legislature.
I dont agree with some of what Paul says, but sometimes I think it is best to blow things up and start over and he is our best chance of that happening IMHO.
Big government is here to stay, sadly. We only choose between the GOP version or the Dems version. It's a sad state of affairs. When was the last time the govt actually shrank?
Reagan's federal government had 273,000 more employees than does Obama's. It has shrank. You're welcome. http://www.politicususa.com/en/big-government-obama-reagan
Hot Damn! That was a liberal site you linked us to... Also, he probably meant shrunk in power, because more employees doesn't mean Big Government... but I don't think anyone has a problem with less government employees.
