Don't forget about the mighty shorthorns. That was a very impressive win they pulled out at Central Florida.

I hadn't seen Smack Brown look that deathly sick since we rolled them several years back.

The big 12 is horrible this year, again. We should not lose a game this year. If we do, it's due to poor performance on our part.

As I see it, there are three choices.

1. OU is as good as it looked against Miami
2. Miami was not the same team that played in Norman
3. Aggie really is that bad

And I say it is all of the above. Made for a long night for Fran.

What an embarassment! How many plays away was aTm from winning that game tonight? Show up!

This league is a joke...and I don't care. Texas Tech might be better and maybe Missouri stays strong. Where does Kansas rank in the Big 12 right now?

Guys, we are that damn good......I have no doubt. It's just a matter of going out there every week and sustaining that level of play that we have shown.

I guess it makes us look good and the rest of the 12 look bad. But then again, A&M wasn't that good.

Oh well we'll see.

I'm thinking it's a rather large dash of 1, a smidge of 2, and a heaping portion of 3.

Regardless of how the defense ultimately shakes out, how many teams will be able to outscore OU? If it turns out this team is as unflappable as the 2000 squad there will be many stunned and broken football fans this year. There are VERY few teams with a defense complete enough to slow down this attack. And it's mainly due to Bradford. You can hit him, you can sack him, you can shoot his dog, irregardless, he's gonna pass on you and make you like it.

It makes me sick as to what has happened to our power conference. It's a joke. In 00-01, there were 4-5 dangerous teams that I would give a shot against anyone back then. Now? Just us.

I also think we are good but when you do not play any competition all year until your bowl game the team does not know how to react to the competition level... ('04 Orage Bowl)

I would say Misery is 4th. And by that, I mean that 2,3,4 are VERY tightly bunched. It's a matter of whether or not Pinkel can actually put a season together.

You make a good point that a lesser level of competition doesn't prepare you to rise to the ocassion of playing a well matched opponent. But I think the mentality of this years squad is different, Stoops measuring stick is playing with perfection regardless of the opponent.

We really need to play someone talented soon. Our ranking is based solely on the assumption that we can take care of a quality opponent. With the 2003 season still visible in the rear view and the pundits being wrong about Michigan, Auburn, Oklahoma Steak we need to be able to validate the hype before we slip further. If West Virginia were to blow out USF or maybe if Cal were to blow out Oregon we might find ourselves at #5 or #6 going into RRS.

It will happen soon in SEC country soon. It's simply programs who can't accept losing in any form. aTm kicked Slocum out and hired that joke of a coach they have now, Les Miles grew a brain and bailed on aggy, Nebraska decided a coach that takes you to a National Championship game wasn't good enough... so they canned him and hired Slash (great idea ), Snyder retired and all is back to normal at K-State, Barnett laid down and Colorado shot for another overrated Boise State coach, and McCarney gave up on the game as well.

**** happens, and this kind of **** is what divides conferences. Not a bad idea if you ask me. Take pride in your gymnastics and gold championships all you want... but this was obviously supposed to be a football conference.

I guess we'll now have to schedule like USC does to compensate for the pansy-*** PAC 10.

Say it happens next year just for fun and you have the power to make your own schedule... and we schedule Ohio State, LSU, Miami and Washington (decent round from different conferences) in OOC, that should help you in the event that you rape the BIG 12 and Texas has an off year.

suck it up and root for the U to win the acc, even though that conference is crappier than the big 12 it will help our SOS. i bet if we do go undefeated and reach the NC game the ESPN talking heads will start endless amounts of comparisons to the 2004 orange bowl.

I have a similar problem as Soonerus...I'd kinda like Miami out there making us look good, but the idea of Miami winning a bunch of games gives me a taint-ache and the idea of pulling for them is literally making my sack dissolve.

From everything I saw last night -Looks to me - Miami could win 8 or 9 games this season (as long as their qb stays healthy) - A&M could re-bound ..? or go down the tubes..? - This is what makes College Football so much Fun,"On any given Saturday afternoon" - We just need to stay Focused, take one game at a time, and keep everyone healthy and we will be playing for all the marbles come January.....BOOMER SOONER...!

You mean when we got beat by K-State for the Big XII championship and still got to play in the BCS Title Game? The only thing bad about that year was lack of execution down the stretch. If we take care of business, we have a shot at the title, just like every other year...

Could it be in response to the t-shirts we made up for stomping Miami?
