The Oklahoma Department of Transportation has two lanes of westbound Interstate 40 closed near Classen Boulevard while they make a permanent repair to a hole in the roadway, department spokeswoman Terri Angier said.
"It's really going to be tough squeezing everyone through one lane during rush hour,” she said.
She advised commuters to use an alternative route on their way home from work.
The department, she said, realizes the repair will be an inconvenience, especially during rush hour, but the repair needed to be done.
