Four headcoaches who have reached 100 career victories at one school.Bob could pass that mark this year but will certainlly pass it next year.By contrast,Mac Brown (assuming he wins 7 games this year)will become only the second UT coach to reach the 100 win plateau.

I think it is interesting that unlike many schools OU does not owe their lengthy history of sucess to 1 or 2 coaches.Bobby Bowden is Florida State,Vince Dooley still is Georgia football in spite of having retired years ago,Alabama owes most all their sucess to Bear.Cornhusker sucess belongs to Devaney and Osborne, wile Miami ,despite their sucess has no 100 win coaches.Surprisingly Notre Dame has only 2 100 game winners.

Joe Paterno has not been at Penn State forever,it just seems that way.Charles (RIP) Engle was Paterno's predecessor and he won 100 + games as well.USC should also have their 4th 100 win coach in about 3 years if Carroll stays put.OU will still be the FIRST to acheive this sistinction.IMHO it is just one more thing that sets OU apart.

Is that with or without the wins the NCAA screwed us out of?

Dude. We might get those back. Dean says there's a 60/80 chance of it.

Even if you don't get those back, Stoops will get to 100 with no problem.

I still don't recognize the bogus record mandated by the NCAA. As of today, Stoops is 88-19. I don't care what they say.

Either way, the 4 coaches to 100 wins stat is pretty cool for OU.

That will be quite an accomplishment.

Looked up the Michigan record as I thought they might have 4 but Fritz Crisler didn't hang around long enough. You all will be surprised by one of the names.
Fielding Yost: 165-29-10. 10 conference titles and 6 national championships.
Bo Schembechler: 194-48-5. 13 conference titles.
Lloyd Carr: 113-36-0. 5 conference titles and 1 national championship.

Fritz Crisler: 71-16-3. 2 conference titles and 1 national championship.
Harry Kipke and Bennie Oosterbaan won 2 and 1 national championship, respectively.

It's great to be a Sooner!

We just rule!

But on another note, can't argue with Bear...50 championships a year just isn't something we'll ever be able to beat.

That record is as safe as 47 in a row. ;)

^Fixed it for ya,Bob had 86 wins entering the season.

Exactly. My sig says it all.BTW ,did I mention that OU has 3 of the TOP10 winningest Coaches of all time?By percentage Barry is 4th .837,Bud is 9th .829,Bob is 10th .824.This list includes only coaches with at least 100 games coached. Carroll at USC will join the list IF he stays around a couple more years.
