Uhm, wow. I think I liked it the first time I saw it in The Replacements.

Good news is, with prison ankle chains on, they can still do that dance. So it's actually a usable future skill. Good for them.

Wow, what incredible focus from a team soon to escape with a 3 point win.

hahahahaha

maybe if they practiced football more than dancing together they would not have as much trouble playing the game.

It must be the Whorn's version of the Haka.

That is actually very cute. I wish more teams did stunts like this. I like Hawaii's little traditional stomp thing too.

Geeze...talk about a lack of institutional control ;)

You think Bob would ever let something like that go on?

That was after the lightening delay at Central Florida. If you watched the game it showed the CFU players doing the exact same thing on the opposite sideline. It was music pumped in by CFU. And it was just a way for everyone to get the blood pumping again and get warmed up. There was no warm up because the delay wasn't long enough. So both teams were dancing. Not how I would warm up but I am not 19 either.

From CFU's sideline: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWwImTCWwbs&NR=1

From the stands: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fv9LEVp-DBM&NR=1

The song was a CFU "Let's get back to action after the delay" kind of song. You going to see a whole stadium working it and not cut loose a little to show that they don't own it all? It is a competition. And, yeah, I wish the competition on the field was better. Beat ya to it.

If I ever hear that song again, I'm going to murder someone.

Yeah, I know, take it to the Oval ...

Our version of the story is a whole lot better than this.

Bouncing around like *******s and a traditional samoan/polynesian dance are worlds apart.

Watching that, I couldn't help but think of the other black regiment in the movie Glory.

The Haka will land teams 15 yard penalties for unsportsmanlike like conduct now.

It's actually called the Hawaiian Ha'a. The Haka is performed by the All Blacks of New Zealand. Haka and Ha'a both mean "dance".

And the Warriors were flagged before the La Tech game, but I don't think they got flagged before the UNLV game.

My 17 year old son (who is a big OU fan) thinks it's cool. Apparently "Dat Soulja Boy" is like the new "Macarena" (sic) -all the High school and college kids are into it. It might be interesting to see if OUr players try to do it.

Also, I think Euless Trinity High (the team in the Gatorade commercials), from outside of Fort Worth, marches onto the field doing the Haka - I think they say its a Tongan dance. there are a lot of Tongans on the team.

I hope our guys just act dignified and don't give everyone a reason to point and laugh.

And if it's the new Macarena, all the more reason to not join in and end up looking retarded in a VH1 I Love 2007 show.

Does this mean that the whorns are a bunch of ****ing soljas now? Them and KWinslow?

This song is unbelievably retarded. And to be made by a kid who calls himself "solja boy" who's not even old enough to be an actual "soldier boy" makes me bleed from my ears.

I love your vh-1 comment – It reminds me of my cousins wedding (who is an OU Alumni) 13 years ago when my aunt was complaining because her son would be walking down the aisle with shoulder length hair.

As an older role model, who had had long hair for his graduation from OU, my aunt asked in front of a large group of people what I thought about her son’s long hair. My response was that I had been little embarrassed by some of my graduation pictures – but I added the caveat, that it still didn’t have the shock value of Billy’s Gigantic FRO at the same graduation.

It sent my cousin over the edge and made him cry.

Still fill badly about that one. NOT – what a wiener.
