I need help. I want to watch all of the Sooner games and we don't have cable. I live in Tulsa. Please respond or PM if you don't want to share how much you pay...although I don't think anyone will care.

Whe someone gives you their costs, it all depends on what options they subscribe to for that provider. Costs of either is based on what options you select - regardless of whether it is cable or satellite.

You need to contemplate what options you want from your cable/satellite provider. There are different tiers of service for either providers. Do you want hi-def? How about DVR? How many outlets/TVs do you want to connect? Will you need ESPN Gameplan? Is Foxsports Net in the tier of service you want? These are some of the issues you need to figure out, before you can determine which direction to go with your decision.

I would suggest you go to the Cox Cable website to see what their prices are for the options you want. Do the same for Directv or Dish. Only then, can you decide what is the better deal for you.

Antennas don't pick up ESPN or FSN very well

I have had Directv for about 9 years now, I will not go back to cable. Price wise, I know they are comparable once you get over the initial discount period.

I have cable and love it. Others will argue that satellite is better. Just compare the costs.

You can almost always find a ticket at the game fairly cheap.

If not Cox has been the best for me. If you're looking to see it in a bar there is a new sports bar in south Tulsa called SOCO. It's at 81st and Harvard were the old Embers steak house was. Some friends of mine went there for OU/Ute St. they said there was standing room only and the place seats over 300. Plus the scenery scouting report sounded very good.

Fancy rabbit ears...Why can't they use a hanger like OSU fans?

Because we don't have to search for the locals to get the game. :D

Well, I heard that in stoolwater they run a cable wire from house to house, not to catch the cable only games, but so they can find their way over to visit the neighbors.
