Saying what? As long as we beat them and win more games it won't matter.

Just because you're struggling, it doesn't necessarily mean your opponents are that good.

Just saying.

Um, Rice lost to 1AA Nichols State and got crushed by Baylor. Baylor...

Neither team's SOS is looking very good right now. There's not much separation between the two schedules so far.

UT sucking can be attributed to many things, a "tougher" schedule is not one of them. This is the mighty TEXAS we are talking about. The schedules are comparable. OU destroys opponents, UT limps to victories.

I've said it once, I'll say it again: Mack Brown is not a good coach. Watching Uterus struggle against an unranked nobody is not surprising, unless, of course, you actually believed that Mack had thing one to do with the MNC.

Of course, thanks to the fact that the Uteruses-that-be saw fit to award Mack an extension, we get to watch the whorns be not great for a few more years.

Clearly, UCF would beat Miami 84 to -5. But could they beat Air Force???

Hey, DSP, what is 'Texas=tougher schedule' supposed to mean?

It it like saying "Texas is tougher" and then something about a schedule.

Or it is saying "Texas is a tougher schedule."

TIA

I don't know about Texass having a tougher schedule, or they're just not playing as well as we are, however, it does worry me, that they're getting "" pushed, and may be better in the 4th come the RRR and we may be. In any event, I would rather hang half a hundred on our foes, than eek them out. Maybe well just get used to it, and hang a 3rd half-a-hundred on them this decade. I know one thing, the Sooners will be hungry come the RRR. I just hope we don't over-look the buffs, especially if they win tonight.

Is:mack: the most arrogant coach in football or the worst coach to evar win a MNC? Why did he go for 2 on that last touchdown for tejas? That could have cost him the game. Someone please explain going for 2 when you're up by 11?

It's better to be up by a touchdown and two field goals than two touchdowns and two missed PATs. Duh!

Obviously Texas's schedule is much harder than ours, considering they are in dogfights every week and we are cruising through our schedule...

Do the close, competitive games help Saxet analyze what isn't working and fix it?

Rice = UNT

TCU = Miami

ASU = USU

UCF = Tulsa

Slight edge to Saxet in sos.

I was thinking about how OU could be good if we only had a quarterback that could make the OSU three deep. Shame we're stuck with Bradford instead.

I'm not sure any of the oSu quarterbacks are good enough for the oSu three deep.

the big 12 sucks, both teams have easy schedules. at least when ou scheduled the miami game they were a top 3 team at the time.
i'm just going to throw a question out there for fellow ou fans. Excluding the UT game (which a large contigent of hornfans.com seems to be conceding to us by 20+) who is going to challenge us? It seems every great team gets challeged at some point during the season, I was just wondering where people think its going to come from for this year's OU team.

I've seen all three games Texas has play so far and friends, they look extremely average, sometimes mediocre at best, and seem to struggle in every game. That 'D' is giving up big yards in the rushing department as well as in passing. I think the whorns are in for a long, long year. Just my opinion.
