Right now I've got some Sex Pistols, Buzzcocks, Billy Idol, Ramones, Misfits, Iggy and the Stooges...

Throw some stuff out there for me.

Got some old Suicidal, but I lean more to them being thrash as opposed to punk.

Go a different direction with the Revolting Cocks, speaking of Jello.

Try out some post punk - Gang of Four

And Green Day pwns Offspring. Thogh neither are punk, maybe a long time ago they were. American Idiot is a great RnR album.

Parts of Violent Religion - Chainsaw Kittens is nearing punk...

"Search and Destroy" is some good rockin'.

if you are going the individual song route (which i cannot fully endorse)--as far as the stooges:

from Raw Power (in addition to search and destroy):

penetration, gimme danger, your pretty face is going to hell, i need somebody

From the stooges, stooges:

i wanna be your dog, 1969, no fun

from stooges, funhouse:

in the street, 1970, TV eye, loose, LA Blues, fun house...

DK, everyone needs "let's lynch the landlord".

i'm a big fan of the minutemen, but i wouldn't even know how to approach that on iTunes....at .99 a pop Double Nickles on the Dime would cost almost 50 bucks--maybe try Political Song for Michael Jackson to sing.

Unless it's a double album, I don't think they can cost more than 12.99 or so.
I agree about the Stooges material.

no doubt: Land Speed and New Day Rising for sure. Zen A. and probably Flip your Wig.

you could even toss in a few early Replacements tunes--for example, dope smoking moron, tommy gets his tonsils out, gary's got a boner, we're coming out--where Tommy Stinson let's out his inner speed metal guitarist sort of. and then Westerberg became infatuated with Alex Chilton and Stinson split....Stinson later to end up in GnR.

and as a huge fan of the Birthday Party, hey.

Nick Lowe (Rockpile) - "Pure Pop For Now People"

I bought that LP when I was 18. Signature tune was "I Love The Sound Of Breaking Glass." That one also had "Little Hitler", "Rollers Show" (song about taking a date to a Bay City Rollers Show and acting like he enjoyed it) and "Heart of the City" which was classic three-chord punk. Lowe brought a muted anger to the punk movement, focusing instead on goofy compositions and satire. He remains one of my favorites from that era.
