I get an e-mail from Katy over at HornFans. Yes, that Katy. Apparently, they are doing a thing on the Star Jones show on Court TV about sportsmanship and, of all things, the scrotum-ripper is a topic. They wanted her to come on the show, but she's going out of town and couldn't do it, so she gave them my name. I don't know whether to thank her or not. I suppose we'll find out.

So, anyway, I get a call from a producer a little later, and now I'm supposed to be on the Star Jones show tomorrow on Court TV at 2:00 p.m. CDT, live via satellite. I don't know anything about her or her show, but it ought to be interesting, anyway. I'm gonna wear an OU tie. Youse guys set your DVRs.

Try to give a shout out for the Herman Mitchell fund and redeem the rest of the fanbase that aren't crazy ball-grabbers.

I'm trying to decide on whether or not you should emphasise that the Ripper is a former Poke. ;)

But do remind everyone about Mark Clayton and Lynn MacGruder - how they helped victims of a car crash back in 2003.

Break a leg, Fearless Leader. Have a great time. We'll be askin' for autographs at the next tailgater...

Phil, Are you sure you don't want Dean, with a couple three burbons in 'im, right there beside you?

Now THAT would be entertainment. He could tell the hot sauce/peeper story... Heh!

Stuff you can list off:

1- OU star athlete and person Pendleton, who gave up football to take care of his brother

2- OU avid volunteer Jacob Gutierrez, who showed sportsmanship despite evil blue field fans taunts last January.

3- The fundraisers for Herman Mitchell and many others, like Hollis Price's Katrina fund from losing memorabilia.

4- All the support we give each other here! :)

Personally, I think you just tell Star they were just "boys being boys" that went a little bit too far. :)

Just don't say the word "sthathistics" (Fun with Dick and Jane).

We lead the league in sacks. I know this topic is supposed to be taken seriously but it is such a ludicrous act. It is so out there, I suppose that is why it is newsworthy. Good luck

Well done Phil....the other 3 nerds didn't even get a chance to talk because of time..hehe.

Star tried to put it in a light that fans shouldn't be so radical about their teams, but Phil put the perspective that all the facts haven't come out from an irresponsible media. The facts will come out at trial.

And to her question about what OU fans are like, he referred to Bama, Miami and their message boards: OU has a high reputation for being a hospitable environment for opposing fans to come to......great!

Didn't catch the show, but I assume it was mentioned that it did NOT go down like this:

OU Fan: "Hey, that dude has a Texas shirt on! Rip his balls off!"

Instead, it went more like this:

OU Fan: "Hey, that dude has a Texas shirt on! Texas sucks!"

UT Fan: "Texas Sucks? I'm gonna kick your ***!"

OU Fan: "Uh, no, you're not!"

Methinks the UT fan was the one who was escalating to physical violence. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, I missed this thread. But, another good point to bring up would have been the massive fundraising campaign to help that little girl with cancer that we helped get started with the Oregon message board before the Holiday Bowl.

Even though it don't not turn out well in the end, it created a massive movement among college football fans around the country.

One of the best things I've ever seen out of football fans...ever.

Did you see Star catch the football with her face circa 2005? That has to be on youtube.com. There was more make up on the football than Star's face by the end of the clip.
