Proving once again, no man's life nor property is safe while the legislature is in session... the good people in Austin enacted HB 1751 (to become effective January 1, 2008).

HB 1751 assesses a $5 fee on each customer admitted to a sexually oriented business that provides live nude entertainment or performances!!

Is nothing sacred anymore?

I guess we will have to stop having the Dallas lunches at the Clubhouse now! :eek:

Through taxes, government has told me that sex and alcohol are bad, while kids and church are good. I could not disagree with this assessment more.

That way during the next campaign they can say that they didn't raise taxes :rolleyes:

land/property are taxed therefore homeownership=bad
food is taxed, therefore buying food=bad


but can grow your own food because that's not taxed, unless you sell it, then selling food = bad...
