Some encouraging news:

Plus, linebackers Dan Cody (knee surgery) and Mike Smith (shoulder surgery), who are on the physically unable to perform list, worked out for the first time this season. It was surprising to see Cody looking as fluid as he did. They will miss at least the first six weeks of the season under NFL rules.
