While we lost 3 games to Miami, USC was loosing 11 games to ND, from 1983 to 1993 AND lost 8 years in a row to UCLA, 1991 -1998.

The LA Times did a big article, the article with the RUF/NEKs and this LA Times reporter did a big thing about Miami beating OU three times.

The big story about Miami beating us is that they were the ONLY team that could beat us. What was our record...30-3 during that time...with all three losses to Miami.

I have a feeling that Notre Dame wasn't the only team beating USC during that time. In fact, you said it yourself...UCLA was doing it too.

If USC had gone 11 years of only losing one game and every year it was against Notre Dame...it'd be a bigger story than the OU/Miami deal. Similarly, it wasn't that big of a deal when Nebraska got a little streak going against us during the Gibbs - Blake years.

is it possible to have a sticky thread on how to spell lose?

i don't see how notre dame will ever get back to being a consistent top 5 team. as long as pete is at usc, note dame will have a hard time beating them. what is the streak for usc over notre dame?

I think they'll lose 2 games this year...not gonna guess which ones, but it won't be anyone we expect.

I tend to agree with 2 losses for USC and at least 1 for LSU...

Funny...I don't remember 2003. I guess I just wanna be positive and enjoy it while I can, which this year will be all season.

We had some bad memories to look back on in 2000, but last I checked those games in 2000 still happened.
