"Both of them did a decent job," Shannon said.

Through the season's first two weeks, Miami ranks 118th out of 119 major college schools in passing offense.

One of those 2 sentences doesn't belong. Only the Miami coach doesn't know which.

I know we recruited Wright, did we recruit Freeman?

Freeman looked awful. Wright may be a disappointment based on high school accolades but Freeman sucked out loud.

"Both of them did a decent job," Shannon said. "But Kyle came in the game against Oklahoma and gave us a little spark."

So then you decided to yank him and put in the guy who spent most of the day running for his life or on his back looking up at the sky? Nice call, Shannon! Thanks for the blowout!

Did you guys know that Randy Shannon was a linebacker on those Miami teams of the 80's that beat Oklahoma 3 times?

Yeah, that REALLY suprised me too. The only conclusion I drew was Miami did not score on the prior drive under Wright.

I thought Wright got dinged up on a scramble?

I didn't think we recruited Wright because he didn't show interest. I don't think we recruited Freeman at all due to Bomar.

Interesting facts:

Kyle Wright was the #1 QB in California the year Tommy Grady was the #2 QB in California.

Freeman was a top 5 QB in Texas the year the Rhett Bomar was the #1 QB in Texas.

I can only wish Mr. Wright and Miami good fortune from here on out so our SOS is helped.

That is a SHARP UM coaching staff,it only took them three days to figure out something everyone with half a brain had figured out Saturday afternoon. Wright>Freeman.

Sounds like Shannon caught a mild case of what my grandma calls the Mack Brown/Applewhite Quickstep.
:D

I will never, ever complain about a coaching staff (other than Tejas) giving the game away to us.

I will, instead, say this:

Thank-you, Miami. Thank-you very much. We *will* accept this victory, and appreciate the role you played in it.
