You could tell after watching "Hard Knocks" on HBO that it was going to be a long year for them offensively. They really wanted Brodie Croyle to step up and take the job from Huard, and gave him every chance, but he didn't perform. Add to that LJ and Dewayne Bowe holdouts, and then Kennison goes out and pops a hammy on the opening kickoff.

Long year....indeed.

From watching Hard Knocks, did anybody else get the impression that they don't exactly make the most intelligent personnel moves?

A lot of the players they cut had great camps and were doing better than the players they kept.

IMO, they'll win between 4-6 games this year and be happy that they won that many.

I definitely think they regressed from last season. Houston made them look bad, and that is hard for Houston to do to anyone. Time to clean house and start over.

Herm has certainly honed his coaching skills. It took him 6 years to turn the Jets from a Playoff team into an also-ran with an oft-injured overrated QB, a broken down RB, and no defense. He did that to the Chiefs in one season.
