If I were a Pontiac dealer in Oklahoma, I think I would withhold my franchise fee for a year or so....those ads can't help business.

As someone stated in another thread, there are more reasons to NOT buy a Pontiac than them running a stupid commercial.

I hate Pontiac.

But not because of some stupid reason like a commercial showing us get beat by the Statue of Liberty play.

No, no, this goes back to my wife's crappy Pontiac that she bought back in 2000.

Dear idiots in charge of advertising at Pontiac,

This message is to let Pontiac know that because of the incredible lack of judgement concerning what commercials to air during the OU/Miami game, I have decided to never purchase a single product that your company ever decides to produce.

If nobody at your company is intelligent enough to realize that showing a highlight of one of the most embarassing moments in the history of the University of Oklahoma football program during a game that we are playing is poor taste and a bad decision, then how could I ever have faith that you have enough collective intelligence to make a decent product.

Somebody in the advertising department should really get their heads out of their rears and figure out what game they are spending their advertising money on. Because I guarantee you it was a complete waste for the entire Sooner Nation.

That reminds me, I need to email the Gatorade company for the following reasons:

1. That Dwight Clark catch against my beloved Cowboys. Nevermind that it's one of the most memorable plays in NFL history. It was against my Cowboys.

2. They dared to include Dwyane Wade in a Gatorade ad last year. And you all know how I feel about Wade.

3. Speaking of Wade, I think GM featured him in ad last year, too. I need to email GM and tell them I'll never buy another vehicle from GM. I'll be sure to include some extra, EXTRA whiney!!!

There, that'll tell them off!!!!

P.S. Must also cancel bank account, home owner's insurance, and auto insurance by USAA.

Since they're based out of San Antonio and all that stuff. Nevermind they have top rate customer service. None of that crap matters.

Their home is the same home as the Spurs.

P.P.S. Isn't SBC based out of San Antonio as well? Internet gon *sound of internet service being cut off because I was stupid enough to cut off my proverbial nose to spite my face*

I don't mind them doing it once or twice..........but all season long. I'm sure there is plenty of archival footage they could use of other teams and games, but definitely don't run it during one of our televised games.

Like it or not, it's one of the most memorable plays in college football history.

You think Stanford grads hit GM with similar ad nauseum comments after Pontiac used footage of 'The Play' over and over and over?

You think they'd run "the real play" during a texass game?
