Some Miami players aren't having any problem with their confidence. Asked this week what kind of statement Miami would make by beating Oklahoma, senior guard Derrick Morse responded, "I think it's going to be a huge statement when we win."
I can't wait to beat these guys!!!

I wonder how many OU fans are drinking early tonight so they can sleep at all?

Out here in the AZ with kickoff at 9 a.m. I figure I will be wide awake by 4 a.m. and then log onto the computer for Countdown to Kickoff on The Animal. I know a lot of you hate that station, but when it's all you got to hear OU talk, it beats nothing.

Hey, Harry...we should do some drinking tonight! Maybe I will ACTUALLY crash your place for the OU game tomorrow on that big screen! This one is gonna be special!

Not really. Here's another distraction, highlights from the '85 game, including the play when they broke Troy's leg:

Wow...I did not know Casillas did not play in that game...that's huge!

Also, a certain assistant coach in warm ups looks familiar...and fat!

I've been to *one* class this week, and it was a short week due to labor day.

The combination of my impending December graduation and football season has made it all but impossible to get ANYTHING done.

Fortunately, my students are finishing up part 4 of the GOLD! video series by The History Channel. The bad news is that because I am not physically teaching the day is really draggin on.

Bring on the canes!

That might be the most interesting youtube video I've ever watched. Thank you very much! I was at that game and have not seen highlights of it. ESPN Classic has played the '86 and '87/88 games but I would love to see this one.

I was at that game as a student. Casillas out injured and then the thugs break Troys leg.

OU would have beat them easily with Casillas and Aikman healty. The planets would have aligned and OU would have been 36-0 with 3 national champoinships in a row on the way to another streak of 47 straight and a probable 4th national championship in a row. Troy Aikman would have stayed a Sooner and won the Heisman 3 yrs straight.
