Y'know, if anything, we should vote "yes", they'll win.

Voting in a South Florida newspaper that the Sooners will win does us no good at all. If anything, if some Miami coach gets a hold of that, they could use it as motivation for their team -- "See, even the local yokels don't think you can do it!"

Similarly, if our guys saw that the local paper's survey down there suggested we were going to win, it'd give 'em a false sense of security.

Now, don't get me wrong -- I'm probably way overstating the importance of this poll. But if it's worth voting in, then I suppose we're sorta saying by the very action of voting that we attribute some value to the outcome.

Anyhow. I'm kinda ****ed off that this line of reasoning didn't occur to me 'til *after* I voted that we'd kick the snot out of them.
