OU HOCKEY HOSTS ALUMNI GAME THIS FRIDAY
Michael F. Price to lead Alumni Team against current OU Hockey players
This Friday evening at 7:00 PM, the University of OklahomaŽ Hockey club will host a game between current OU Hockey players and a team comprised of distinguished OU alumni and former OU Hockey players. After speaking Friday morning at the "Distinguished Speaker Series" at the Oklahoma Memorial Union in conjunction with the College of Business named after him, Michael F. Price, a 1973 OU business graduate and global expert on value investing, will head a few miles north to the Blazers Ice Centre to lace up the skates and lead a 16-member Alumni Team of Oklahoma alums and former Sooners players against the current 2007 OU Hockey squad.
As a nice warmup for the OU-Miami football game the next morning, swing by the rink on Friday evening to watch Mr. Price and other OU alums take on the current Sooners in a friendly yet competitive game of hockey. RED-WHITE SOONERS HOCKEY GAME ON SEPT. 12th
The University of OklahomaŽ Hockey club will have its 5th annual Red-White intrasquad scrimmage on Wednesday, September 12th at 4:30 PM. The twenty-eight Sooners that comprise the 2007-2008 OU Hockey club will be split into two teams, one red, one white, for a late afternoon of intense hockey action. Admission to the OU Hockey Red-White game is free. The OU Hockey Red-White game will be played at the Blazers Ice Centre, 8000 S. I-35, in Oklahoma City. OU HOCKEY SEASON TICKETS STILL ON SALE
The University of OklahomaŽ Hockey club announces that season tickets for the 2007-2008 OU Hockey season are on sale now to the general public. Season tickets are priced at $114.00 for 23 OU Hockey home games, which equates to less than $6 per game.
The Sooners, which finished 9th in the ACHA D1 rankings this past season, will play 23 home games during the 2007-2008 regular season as they pursue the ACHA D1 National Championship. The Sooners will open the 2007-2008 season on September 21st and 22nd at home against Texas Tech University. Other ACHA opponents coming to Oklahoma City to face the Sooners this season include Lindenwood University, Arizona State University, Liberty University, Weber State University, Adrian College, Minot State University, University of Missouri, University of Central Oklahoma, Davenport University, Colorado State University and University of Colorado.
