Fake to Patrick out of the "I" formation, bootleg by Sam, then a pass to TE Gresham, who had run a drag route. 25-yard gain.

Bradford falls down faking a broken leg while Loadholt intentionally false starts and blazes over Campbell as a wake up call to say, "Come on, Sweetheart! Let's dance!"

Play action to Patrick, Bradford rolls out and hits Gresham in the flat.........bulldozes the co-canes freshman DB. 24 yd gain. Shannon picks up the sideline phone and calls mommy and asks if she switched his fruit loops to skim milk that morning.

Buster Rhymes standing on top of the scoreboard with his AK telling the canes over the PA, "You thugs are in my hood now so you better not pull any ****!".

Victory formation, QB kneel.

Of course after OUr defense and special teams score on every possession prior, right?

Sam Bradford takes the snap and fires a lateral to Juaquin Iglesias. Iggy runs around tha LOAD and pitches DeMarco Murray an option. Murray breaks, plants and throws back to Malcom Kelly who then laterals to Sam Bradford who runs backwards to OUr 1-yard line. Sammy then shoots deep down the field for Joe Jon Finley, who laterals to Jon Cooper. Coop takes it to tha HOUSE!!! :D

This is fun.

If I was making the call I'd come up with some kinda fake of the reverse to Murray...That one had to catch the Thugs' attention.

Hand off to DM who fires a 75 yard TD strike to our secret weapon, Ned!!!!

I say a reverse pass. Handoff to Murray, who in turn hands off to Kelly, who promptly fires to a streaking Gresham down the sideline for the quick six.

I didn't think we'd be able to run an offensive play after Miami stomps on our logo and we cower in fear.

Maybe that or 7 yard curl pattern by Iglesias.

Draw play to Patrick. 25yd gain.

Jewstin
9/6/2007, 12:28 AM
Oh, boy. If Miami stomps on our logo, they're going to get thumped worse than they did at Louisville last year.

Newsflash: lets get one of the toughest stadiums in the country even MORE worked up!

These guys have never seen this kind of atmosphere in the ACC. Well, maybe Florida State ... but even then, that's a stretch. ;)

KantoSooner

ya know......back in like '86 or so, we opened the game against Nebs with an 80 yard double reverse to Buster Rhymes. Even up in the nosebleed seats, you could see what would now be called 'shock and awe' on the corn boys. They never were in the game at all.

Something like that is worth a shot. And Lord knows, we got the personnel to hit the corners.

How about 1985, it was a single reverse off the option and it was Keith Jackson.

I claim no powers of analysis, but I wonder how much of the last game's playcalling was to set Miami up.....

This is fun.

[Mr. Coach Klien] Once the quarterback has the ball, he fakes to the left. No. He fakes to the right. He doesn't fake. He thinks about faking. He pretends to fake....[/Mr. Coach Klein]

Pump fake screen and when the CB bites Bradford lobs it over his head to a streaking WR for a TD.

okay, okay, I was drunk at the time. In any event......let me revise:

A vaguely tricky running play to a large/fast ball carrier that goes damn near the length of the field for a score.

(and thanks, I got up this morning dreading having to drag my lazy self through miles of game stats to find the correct reference.....)

A punt.

No, no, no... it makes sense! See, when all the "running up the score" bleeding hearts start their little routine after the game we can honestly say, "But, we PUNTED on FIRST DOWN! How is that running up the score?!?"

We line up in the 'bone. Brown, AP, and Murray are in the backfield and we rush for over 500 yards and never need to pass at all.

No plays at all. Reggie Goes Nuts and gets 12 punt and 1 KO (at the Half)returns for TD's. :D
