A real feel good article. I just haven't decided if he is a thug that happens to become a coach or as the article would have you believe, a man that pulled himself out of dispair to become a success?
One thing I did confirm is that he was on the team from 84-88 and that makes him part of the team that we all hate! ;)

Shannon's definitely no thug. A testament of how important it is to do the right thing even if everything is going wrong in your environment.

Sorry, I'm not sold. He's a product of the system and coached there during the antics of the past few years. I hope I'm wrong.

Have been reading alot about the strict discipline he is laying down, his patience, work ethic, etc. He does sound like a solid guy. Is he gonna be able to outcoach other teams in a big game? We'll find out. For obvious reasons, I'm hoping not yet, anyway.
