So I'm looking to buy a new cell phone. I'm with AT&T, which was Cingular at the time. Somewhere in the price range of $80-$150 but I don't want to blow my budget. I considered a Nokia, which is what I have, but I thought that the screens were smaller than my current model. Then I took a look at the Motorola RAZR and came away impressed. I prefer getting a model that has photo (and maybe video) capabilities along with Internet access and text messaging.

So what do you guys recommend?

An iPhone. Or three.

I'm on my second razor right now and I think it's about as good a phone as there is for the money.

I always hear the knock on Razors is that they are fragile.

If you get the chance, buy analog. Digital is teh succ. :D

I hate my Razr. I'm on my 3rd in less than a year, all of them BUZZED really loud and dropped calls constantly even when I have a full signal. Cingular/ATT won't let me upgrade until my 2 years is up, just keep sending me the same phone again and again (I've been a customer for 9 years....guess that isn't worth anything either) And I'm not rough on phones, I've NEVER had one break or die before my 2 years was up. The case is flawless but the inside just craps out.

That's funny. I said the same thing over five years ago before discovering just how vital having a cell phone can be, both on my job and away from home.

And previous posters, thanks for the suggestions.

If you have a cell phone and cable teevee, home phones aren't necessary.

i don't recommend a KRZR or a RAZR
everyone i know that has a razr hates it
I have a KRZR and I hate it. OK, i don't hate it, but it's really slow and doesn't ring in parts of my house. I never know if anyone called me unless they leave a voice mail...I even get text messages hours after they're sent sometimes...

i just got a Sony Ericsson W300i. it won best overall phone in 2006. its a durible little beast. MP3 player with 512mb memory card, decent camera (never use it). good battery life. i'd look into it. the only think i don't like are the buttons. but i have all the numbers i need programed in so i never type in a number. and i don't text that much.

oh..another thing about the KRZR - unless you have really skinny fingers, you will have a hard time text messaging with it..

oh, and BTW...since my daughter's cell phone has been practically surgically implanted into her hand, i can always find her with the GPS. One reason cell phones are necessary

I just got a Tréo 755, I like it so far. it's the first palm device I've ever had so it's taking some getting used to. The internet is pretty good, but I wish the browser was more customizable. I'm posting from it right now!

It got an SD memory card slot that I can store anything on including mp3s. It also will run windows xp.

Yes, it does vibrate. In fact, I have my volume setting at ring+vibrate so it vibrates and plays music at the same time.

Damn. Maybe that's the source of that tiny red "record" light I keep seeing in my shower.

I have a Fusic through Sprint and I love it.
Plays MP3s, I can watch TV on it, and listen to MLB audio.

And best of all, it has a BOOMER SOONER RINGTONE!!!!

If you look hard enough, you'll find the Blackjack for free w/a two year contract on ATT. Only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have voice activated dialing.

You can get a Pearl for less than 150.00.
It's 99.99 after rebate.

I bought mine through Best Buy for 145.
