I'm seeing a blowout, honestly. I think their defensive statistics are more a product of the ACC's anemic offenses and not of their overall defensive quality.

I hope you all are right and we do win going away.My concern is that there are a lot of guys on that Cane team that we and all the other top schools recruited,so they have talent.I'll be happy withj a one point win,although I would be ecstatic with a blowout.

I wrote a really long point by point break-down of what I've noticed of Miami's play last night, but decided against starting the thread and bringing in flames from every Miami fan on the planet ... besides, it was mostly a paper comparison.
Basically, from a defensive standpoint, their strength is their defensive ends. Their d-tackle play is pretty weak (they got virtually no penetration against Marshall), and without any d-tackles to collapse the pocket, their all-world DEs are going to be less effective as they run around 10 yards deep with no QB to be found.
Their secondary is remarkably underwhelming considering the talent level. From what I saw of them, they had difficulty covering Marshall.
I also believe their brilliant rushing statistics reflect the fact that nobody runs the ball worth a flip in the ACC. Could be wrong, though. I guess we'll see.

We need to guard against being overconfident, I as much as anyone else would like to see us put a beating on thug U.
I think the Miami players see this as an opportunity to crawl back into the limelight of college football, they will come out pumped and balls to the wall. This emotional factor might come into play, so I hope Stoops taps into the same thing and remind them how hated Miami is and payback is needed.

I don't. I'm not playing and I think we are shutting them out barring a turnover inside our own 30.
Let's not underestimate them like Boise State. They could still make plays. I am optimistic, but this will be one of the toughest opponents we play all year.

I'm torn, I know we've blown some games before and haven't played to our potential a lot of times. With that said, this is a new year and a new team, granted it has only been 1 game, but they far surpassed my expectations saturday, and I think we roll miami by 20+.
I see it being a pretty close game but OU will take the W.....24-20

Hey guys, I can't wait for the game. I got sec 31 row 10 tickets, and I will be so ****ed off if people try and sit down during the game. I get tired of getting yelled at by people to sit down. Before I enrolled and started sitting in the Pride and (later) student section, that was a problem I ran into surprisingly often - people telling me to sit down.

Hopefully people will understand the importance of this game, and just stand up themselves or bite their tongue. I just don't like sitting there like I am at a tennis match or something. If it was Utah State or North Texas, I would not complain as much. But its the U and that means business is about to pick up.
