Anyone else in the conference have record setting performances?

nope.

What a great honor, let's hope he stays grounded and is ready for a much better Miami defense.

DeMarco Murray had 5 rushing TDs, which was an OU debut record, and I think a freshman record.

And Marlon Lucky rushed for over 200 at Nevada.

I didn't even think about it, but I think it would be among Sam, CU QB Hawkins, M.Lucky at NU, and maybe the Tech QB, C. Daniel, and the KSU QB. IMO, Sam had the best performance by far, but I'm biased.

Colt McCoy for taking charge and being the first to finish his juice box.:D

(sorry was too funny on another thread to just leave it alone)

Even though Freeman is a gamer, hard to give offensive player of the week to a QB of a team that only scored 13.

I can see it going to Harrell after today's numbers...but that's only if you base it on the yards. He still had to chuck it up 50 times.

I'd be shocked if Lucky didn't get it. 233 yards and 3 TDs rushing is hard to beat.

Murray beat him on TD's and had almost 200 yds rushing. Murray or Bradford for sure.:pop:

Murray didn't have anywhere near 200 yards rushing. He was under 100.

Possibly. But that didn't set multiple school records.

I thought maybe it would be Adarius Bowman or Bobby Reid. I mean, seriously... can we say Heisman? :D

Two out of these three will be co-offensive players of the week for the Big XII:

Lucky,
Bradford,
Harrell (in that order, in my opinion).

Possibly. But that didn't set multiple school records. Yes he did. Lucky set new records of most rushing yards in a season opener, most all-purpose yards in a season opener and most touchdowns in a season opener.

Murray beat him on TD's and had almost 200 yds rushing. 233 > 87. And I misspoke - Lucky had 4 TDs, not 3.

Lucky was also named the Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week and leads the nation in rushing.

I'm not saying Bradford or Murray aren't deserving, but I doubt either will beat out what Lucky did. Maybe the Big XII will throw Bradford a co-OPOY.

After only 1 game? :D

You're right, I thought it said 187 when I looked at it earlier. MY BAD.:(

All good, man. All good. If he'd have stayed in the game he'd have had 200. :)

I told my wife that if we had been able to make the trip, there's a good chance one or both of us could have gotten some playing time in the fourth.

bradford had 2 incompletions the whole game and 18 straight completions. Thats a little bit better because the guy made his first college start.

I'm OK with Lucky getting it. There will be plenty of opportunities for Sam. Besides, playing for OU is its own reward. B12 POW is small consolation for having to play for Callahan.
