By the way, did you notice the guys that did the broadcast for this game were the same ones that did the BSU VS OU fiesta bowl??

These guys are bad luck

Blocked kick from a App St fan. Look at the shock and silence of the crowd.

MSU is kind of like Booger Pickin' Stadium when they flash the OU score. Half full and they scream like crazy if we're down.

We're officially released from the stigma of biggest upset ever from last year's Fiesta Bowl.

I remember a similar scene after the OU-Tech game when hundreds of us were watching the Apple Cup when we needed a loss by Washington State.

we go to PSU games off and on (my mom and most of the family live in state college). good friends of ours are season ticket holders and were at the game saturday. they said it was crazy when they kept announcing the score updates - then INSANE when the final came through.

PSU fans have always been very classy and tons of fun to tailgate with. if you've never been to game in happy valley, i recommend it... the tailgating is like nothing seen at OU.

My favorite was the description of the game a la the Hindenburg Disaster.

This is just classic.

"It's finally here now. The 2007 season. They've brought Appalachian State onto the Big House field to be run over by a number of maize and blue men. Michigan's offense is starting with a touchdown; it's--the offense has started to slack up. Now the defense is barely holding, just enough to--

It's burst into flames! The 2007 season burst into flames! And it's falling! It's crashing! Watch it! Watch it! Get out of the way! Get out of the way! Michigan's national championship dreams are on fire-- and they're crashing! They're crashing terrible! Oh, my! Get out of the way, please! The season is burning and bursting into flames! And Michigan is falling-- falling out of the polls! This is terrible. This is the worst of the worst catastrophes in the college football world! It's in flames...crashing! Four or five in both polls and it's-- it's a terrific crash, ladies and gentlemen. It's smoke, and it's flames now! And Henne's Heisman chances are crashing to the ground, probably bringing Hart's with it. Oh, the humanity! And all the fans in the stadium are screaming for Lloyd's head around here. It-- I can't even talk to people. Ah- it's- it's a - ah, I- I can't talk, ladies and gentlemen! Honest, the season, it's just laying there, a mass of smoking wreckage. Ah. And everybody in the stands, the Michigan fans, can hardly breathe and talk, and the screaming. Honest; I can hardly breathe. I'm going to step out of the stadium for I dare not see it. Losing to a 1-AA team, that's terrible. I can't watch. Folks, I'm going to have to stop for a minute because I've lost my voice. This is the worst thing I've ever witnessed."

While you're right about the little brother inferiority complex, I think the Michigan State game had ended well before that video was taken. I never stuck around after OU games (except Nebbish in '00), so I guess I can't say whether OFAGFMS (is that right?) was filled to capacity to watch a drum line.

Good friend of mine in the Edmond area is a huge PSU fan, was at Happy Valley for the game, and was part of the mish-mash that ensued under the bleachers. He said it was as wild of a scene as he had ever witnessed for a game that didn't involve P-Shew.

i've got some really good buddies ( 2 guys and a girl) who are PSU grads and i have to say they are smart, really cool, and big Nittany Lions fans. i'm kinda down with PSU if they are any representation.

and, for entirely different reasons, if i was applying to grad schools again PSU would mos def be one based on program strength. though, i'm not a big east of the mississippi guy.
