Y'know, I'm not a big Mangino fan. In fact, I'm one of the Sooner fans who blamed him for our offensive woes in 2001. That being said, I agree with him yelling at the kid for showboating -- like Chunky Coach said, the kid didn't score the touchdown alone.

Just my two cents ;)

Mangino was right in chewing that player's ***. I hate players that showboat, for example Reggie Bush.

I am glad he reamed him too...but I thought the poor guy was going to stroke out. Of course I think that when he is sitting still.

I don't know... I think Mangino has a point to some extent. I laughed my head off when the UNT runner dove into the end zone against us. My reaction was "you stupid idiot! You're down over 50 points and you want to try to prance around like you won the game?"

Can't blame him.

Uhh... hello? Mossis Madu flipped into the endzone against UNT. I don't like it either, but every team has a showboat. I'd expect Stoops to rip OUr players a new one for showing off, too.

Mangino looks like the Michelin man with an attitude.
How's about Dodge calling for a replay when UNT was down 42-0 ?
He must have gone to a lot of TCU basketball games.

Both Mossis and the UNT guy had reasons other than showboating for doing that. Mossis had a choice of going up and over or around. Up and over was faster. The UNT guy was hearing footsteps behind him; leaping got him away from a potential diving ankle-tackle. (He dove for the same reason AD did last year, except UNT-guy's pursuer wasn't as close, and he didn't break his collarbone on the landing.)

For those who can't view it...

Skeletor... or whatever his name is, ran in for a TD, and it was obvious he was going to get a TD, but he dove into the endzone, uncontested. 15 yard penalty flag thrown.

He arrives on the sideline, and this is about what is said:
Mangino: You got us a fkn penalty. Don't fkn hotdog! You got us a fkn penalty. That's what you did. Everyone's watching you and you did it the fk on your own, didn't you? You did all the fk on your own!

I am no choir boy so that F-laced tirade was music to my ears, I hate showboating in college football.........there should be a similar rule in the NFL. Let's call it the Reggie Bush rule. :P
